Clean Cue - Chest Up into the Bar
In the clean turnover, think about lifting your chest up into the bar.
This helps avoid bar crashing by preventing you from dropping out from under it;
Keeps you balanced and in position with the bar coming to you instead of leaning forward to a bar that’s too far away;
And reinforces a solid trunk and upright posture to be stronger receiving the weight and standing from the squat.
Practice with tall muscle cleans—actively bring the bar to your body and make a big chest as you turn it over.
And with tall cleans—reach your chest up into the bar as you pull the bar back into position.
